The God of Another Chance

We serve a God not just of a SECOND chance, but of ANOTHER chance. If you feel you need to re-boot and start over, God’s grace is sufficient. Use your faith — and your brain — to create the works that back up your faith. You’ve got another chance coming!

SUMMARY

Lamentations 3:21-23 — But this I call to mind, and therefore I have hope:  The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.

#1 — God will give you another chance.  It’s because of His divine nature — His love, compassion, mercy, grace.

#2 — You don’t need a second chance at salvation.  If you feel you need a fresh start spiritually, simply repent.  God’s Word promises that He will forgive you of all your sins.  (1 John 1:9)

#3 — Christians tend to “dumb down” the life experience.  You need more than faith.  You need to put actions to your faith.  Use your brain and be smart about your decisions.

#4 — Failure is a precursor to success.

#5 — Learn from your mistakes.  If you don’t take appropriate action, don’t be asking, “Why has this happened to me?  It’s up to you to live your life, God won’t do it for you.

#6 — Reconsider your past choices.  Change the way you do things.  Change your relationships if you need to.

#7 — Accept that things have changed.  Remember that “another chance” does not mean that it will look like “the last chance.”  Sometimes the landscape of your life — the way things look — will change according to the repercussion of your mistakes.   And although God gives us mercy, other people don’t always.

#8 — Don’t quit!  God is in the restoration business.  God can restore your life if you’re willing to let Him work in you and through you.

#9 — Know that everything is going to be okay!

#10 — Remember — You are first on God’s mind today!
